Far Clip Plane
I can't seem increase or decrease my clip plane. I checked the INI file and it says that Clip plane is set to 20 (ClipPlane=20). I reset it in game by moving the slider and nothing happens. It doesn't get worse or better by sliding it from 0 to 100 (no change at all).
I altered it in the INI file, moved it to 100, and when i restarted EQ it reverted back to ClipPlane=20. I am running 64 bit windowed EQ. What else can I do? I can't stand not being able to see 3 feet in front of my face. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! EDIT: Switching to full screen mode does not help. | ||

Is your INI file read-only?
ClipPlane in my INI file is 13. In-game, my Far Clip Plane is usually set at 65%, but works throughout the range.

The INI file isn't read only for me. Is there another INI file I should be looking at? I was just looking in EQClient.INI.

No, just eqclient.
I think 20 is the maximum for clipplane in the INI. I just changed mine in-game to 100% and it's 20 in the INI. (13 is 65% of 20) And FogScale will always be 20% of that, with a 4.0000 maximum.

maybe you are not running EQ as administrator?

What zone are you trying this in? Certain indoor and city zones have a fixed or vastly reduced clipping plane to the point that moving the slider has little to no effect.

That actually explains a lot. It was FP newbie areas and WQeynos. I also noticed it in Tox, but I assume that zone has permafog. Thanks!
