Sad day in music. His death doesn't come as a huge surprise, but tragic none the less. His music was a staple in my childhood. RIP good sir.

I saw STP about fifteen years ago when they were opening for the Chili Peppers. To this day, Scott Weiland is the most exciting frontman I've ever seen live -- even more riveting than Marilyn Manson and his giant prosthetic dick.

Weiland swayed and squirmed across the stage all night long, wriggling fluidly like a squid full of top-notch heroin.

He will be missed.
