Vulak`Aerr Melee Damage
Going through and reading the comments and description of Vulak himself it seems Vulak should be hitting for 1400 max. I tanked him yesterday with a max hit of 954 (without disc).
Maybe they are referring to the ring event Vulak, but even so, I don't remember that changing his actual mechanics. Here's the link: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=6566

Additional Vulak bug:
He shouldnt be calling the triplets and most likely Jorlleag ( aka only 'Lord/Lady' should be summoned ) http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=6566 As was said, Vulak is no longer a ring event. You now need to kill all the named dragons in the North wing, and if Thylex of of Veeshan is up, he will despawn and Vulak will spawn in the tower in the center of the wing. Interestingly, the three dragons at the far north end of the wing (Sevelak, Cekenar, Zlexak) are exempt from this rule and not required to be killed for Vulak to spawn, and Vulak will not summon them during the fight if they are still up. I guess only the dragons named Lord/Lady affect Vulak's spawning, though I never tested this myself with Jorlleag. And like you said, the triplets Sevelak, Cekenar, and Zlexak DO NOT NEED TO BE KILLED. Vulak WILL NOT summon them if they are left up. As for Jorlleag i'm not sure, we killed him anyway because he was right next to Lady Neve. yes- these posts are not from classic era but if you read the first line "Vulak is no longer a Ring Event" so I am assuming his "Dragon Summon" ability didnt change in terms of which dragons it affected. On P99 it calls to ALL of them - this is incorrect.

If you look at the classic SPDAT, it looks like Vulak should be doing his slow AE every 12 seconds. That definitely would make things a lot more interesting.

Recast in spell data doesn't mean it's cast that quickly every time.

Not exactly, but roughly I thought. Currently Vulak AE's every minute or so.

The current live value on that AE is 60s recast.
I suppose it being a 12 sec AE is possible. But before we go into Vulak's AEs for fixing, Sontalak's AEs certainly should be looked at lol. Those should in no way be proc based. There is video evidence of them being 12 second nearly exactly.
