Good test, hopefully this will put the "im rooted too much!" stuff to rest.

If 1k double backstabbing rogues and chain procing unresistable T-staff Monks want to be more immune to CC then 94% immunity with easy to get MR well..... I dunno what to say.

well... dont run solo into full groups and expect to kill them all, everytime.

EQ is fun (in all aspects of the game) because of the element of suprise and risk and chance. Nothing in EQ should be 100%. That what wow is for.

So I have to wear all that to get 94% resist rate? dayum I pity the monks not able to get 80% of these items. I feel like its quite ridiculous that I have to wear 10 pieces of decently hard to get gear to achieve those results. This means my strenght/other resists are crap just to be able to resist the CC spam.

If you're available, lets try this with you casting root and snare on a player 7-8 levels higher than you!


I'd like to reiterate how dumb this is, lets say a necro lands a 1min root on me. He has a pet -- I'm a sitting duck for 1 minute unless I waste a pillage wand on myself or miraculously I'm able to dodge a pet's attack for 3 second and get a pumice off.

Theres no wonder theres barely any melees on this server. Its not fun.

You can kill anyone and everyone in the entire game.

So think of it as a 94% chance to defeated any and every opponent on the server. (well at least 100 percent of every caster, I dunno how monks match up against other meeles, specificaly the other non casting ones like warriors/rogues).

Also why would a monk try to 1v1 a necro? You know you'll more than likely be buffed and accompanied by your minions. Solo melee doesn't make sense to me and balance cannot be obtained if you try to make every matchup fair.

I feel for melees being cc'd. I seriously see your side but at the same time you have to factor in that you have unlimited dps. I've been chain interrupted by war and monk. Getting a root to land while getting pummeled by cloak of flames raid buffed monk sucks ass.
