Default What's the strangest place you've ever played EQ?

With the proliferation of wireless broadband networks all over the place these days, I'm curious what everyone's most wild/crazy/remotest location from which you've logged into EQ/p99?

For me, it's probably a hotel or airport terminal. *yawn*

Looking for really "out there" responses here (on a boat, while camping in Wyoming, on a rollercoaster, from the space station, inside a nuclear reactor core, etc...)

The crazier the better!

At school in my journalism class during the slow time of month after publication. I introduced the game to one girl in the class who subsequently became addicted.

I took me months and multiple tries even with help to get P1999 to work on my desktop. I know nothing about technology. No wild/crazy places for me [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Riding down the interstate in the back of a minivan while on an LTE signal using my phone as a modem. The cell tower hand-offs didn't disconnect me and I fear kited a few guards in Highpass Hold on my shadow knight.

More recently, I camped the Ferocious Hammerhead in KK for a little more than an hour on my enchanter while riding in the back of an SUV while on a long trip. No disconnects with this one either. Although it did drop me to 300+ ms ping when LTE wasn't available.

I got a batphone to loot a vp rot while I was at a bar one night. Had my laptop in the car and mifi... ran out to the parking-lot, booted up on the hood of my car and logged in. I was able to loot the item with 1min left on the corpse. One of my best nerd moments ever.

I also played in the hospital while my wife was having surgery, brought my laptop and played at her side while she slept/recovered. I used my phone as a modem and had no issues disconnecting whatsoever. Not my proudest moment

This past month I paid 8 bucks for wireless internet at 38,000 feet up in the air. The connection was terrible but I still managed to log in and tunnel quest it up!

I was on a plane!

I don't look down upon this. I was in the hospital watching someone, and it was the night shift. I used a game to keep me awake. In the middle of the night, if I was not there to alarm the nurse of a low oxygen number and difficulty breathing the person I was watching might have died.
