Does anyone know how to backup your discs?

Just a quick question for any of you tech folks. It took me a few years to finally get my hands on a copy of the EverQuest Titanium discs. I got the game loaded and modded just a week ago and am now happily playing on Project 1999.

I know you're legally allowed to make an archival backup of any software you own and I want to do that just in case something should happen to the original discs. My question is how do you do that? What software do you use? I'm sure any retail software is copy protected so how do you back them up, does anyone know? Thanks much in advance! [You must be logged in to view images.
