Shoulda been playing when they were going for 35k. Dag. I still paid 60k.. market crashed after I bought mine [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

60, to 50, to 42, to 35.. bottomed at 35. Then the server population exploded a few months later for whatever reason. 100+ now.
There's a lot of things I wish I had done.

Started Yumyums January of 2013 so most of the fun stuff had already been capped and a lot of items had taken on their current pricing scheme.

Oh well.

Keeping this bad boy on track - there are plenty of places to do ground transfers and probably more reputable people to perform trades. If you can't find one or are not familiar with the tunnel rats spend 5 minutes going through the forums. You'll eventually find someone with enough history/integrity to transfer you green silken drape for you.

The person in my sig (Torg) boxed and now he endlessly files paperwork in pixel purgatory.

In Bongs/Bob we trust.

Anyone remember leaving items in the forge for transfers or random people to find?

The main problem I can see with that is if the established guy steals the stuff, and says, hey I have a good rep I'd never do that! And its noobie's word vs community figure.
This is why I play with logs on and screenshot every single transfer I ask someone to do for me. screenshot with trade window, their confirmation of a tell window asking them to transfer to my alt and their agreement to do so.

We can also do the good old drop trading. Much classic, so ease. Except you lose the option to give an alt some start up capital and you risk losing all your stuff. We all remember the days of coin dropping and why it was removed, but in case you don't here is a reminder.
I drop xfer all the time. Ground dropped items actually last a decent amount of time. Haven't actually timed it but a few minutes. As for coin, you can easily buy/resell gems from merchants. I just rerolled my cleric today and was going to just give away 178p till I realized I could buy two fire emeralds off a vendor for 88 and then sell them for 81. 7 plat loss per unit.. big deal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against shared bank or coin drop. Out of all the non-classic things I'd say shared bank is up there with non-classic UI for reasonable requests.

Didn't read thru the thread but I think drop item transfers are generally safe UNLESS there is no one else in the zone (also try to avoid NPCs I think?)
Howeverrrrrrrr... I have had many many MANY complete strangers ask me to transfer their items and tell me it was simply because of my guild tag.

Well considering the odds of you getting banned and losing everything for twoboxing is 100% when caught and the odds of you losing everything by asking someone from a well established guild for a transfer is literally 0% I think we can all see that this guy is full of shit and just mad he was caught doing something really dumb.

Shared bank slots are a good idea. just my opinion .

Done this before-- see someone in a biger guild (taken, bda, etc) ill ask them to hold onto stuff, as long as my alt is right near by
