Collect the hides off the pups in field of bone. There is a merchant right by the GM monk that gives a quest. Get the pack put in 8 hides and turn in the combined contents for some good exp and a piece of crap gear you sell back to him for a gold and change. I think the key phrase for his quest id " perform a small service"
