BlackJack opinion..lost a big bet - did I make the right play?

I went to the casino a few months back, was playin blackjack riding the table good until this girl sat down next to me.

She gets a 14 with dealer showin a 5. I got two 8s, split, get another 8 split, get a 3 and a 2 so I double down, end up with like 19,17, and 20. Stupid chick pulls a 10 for her 14 and busts. The dealer pulls a 6 and gets 21

I told her to her face "you just cost me $280.... $140 for what I had out there and what I woulda won. If you dont know how to play cards you shouldnt be at the tables"

Then her lil boyfriend was all trying to fight me sayin I cant talk to her that way etc.

It was good except for losin 140 bucks sorry I am still a little upset
