I have some friends that are coming back and we made the following characters:
Monk: Tank Rogue: DPS Chanter: CC Shaman: Heals/Debuffs etc Druid: Heals/Nukes etc We don't have a 6th person yet to round out our group, but how do you think that group makeup will fare down in the dungeons that we hope to fight in? Would I have issues with the rogue pulling aggro off of me? I guess, like you guys have said, it depends on gear and weapons.

I made it to level 15! Double Attack! I'm really staring to kick ass now!
Quote:
It's fun! They give you a sow and say, "get too it Skippy!" Use that 6th slot to pick up a real tank, then you can chain pull!!

If you want the monk to tank you have a couple if options:
1. Root mobs and make sure the monk is the closest PC to them. 2. Monk solo mob to 80% before rest of party engages Root is probably best. It won't ensure you are at the top of the aggro list, but you can ensure you are it's target for the duration of the root as long as you are closest to it. And the rest of the party can jump it straight away. If root breaks from a nuke or whatever you'll learn who is at the top of the aggro list and just need to re-root if it's not you^^ Don't let that dissuade you though, it is basically the same thing you do for a warrior until 35-40 range. I think w/o a cleric or tank though you ought to play around with various strategies. That is a very solid party and there is a lot you can do outside the traditional tank and spank. That way when you reach upper end content, you already have the tools you need to consistently kick bootay with that group.

Those are some great tips to get us started and totally forgot that shamans can tank in some scenarios, especially earlier levels.
We have one more person joining us, and he generally enjoys playing healers, so we may end up with a Cleric/Shaman/Druid supporting cast. I can't imagine we would have much difficulty keeping things in order and people alive with multiple back up heals and chanter mezzes... I'm actually kind of excited that there is no traditional tank 'Taunt' and spank system with our group. It will be beautiful chaos and make every engagement interesting and exciting. I just always have that fear of wiping while deep in a dungeon, but then again I will be pulling and if I don't FD adds off my pull, that's on me! So excited to get our group up and rolling, again, thanks for the tips
