Default What melee?

So I made a necromancer to level up and cover farming. I was wondering what melee to play, War, Bard, or Monk?

Warriors take damage better than sk and paladin and have better dps. Agro usually sucks for warriors but gets better with higher lvls. Monks are best melee all around with good gear. They can take damage (innate high ac and extra defensive skills), dps, and have the ability to single pull, which allows you to solo if you decide to (mend, Bind wound 70%hp). Never played a bard to 60 so dono

Monk, but before you do, get him a Wu's Quivering Staff (for level 20+) 100p
2 Platinum Fire Wedding Rings, 500p or so.
For starter weps grab a Trance stick and Cane of Harmony, 250-300p together.
In the end these few things will make leveling a monk go from an annoying experience, to a rather decent one.

War: Wars are the kind of eq'er that seem to be born for the class, nothign else fits but war. They are dedicated and take a lot of work to gear properly and only get better with age. If you dont know how to play one and want to take it all the way, youll for seemingly ever, off tank in a guild until you really match up to the thousands of hours raiding the war's guilds on p99 use as main tanks

Monk: expensive to gear, but very multi purpose. If you like sneaking around and having utility, being able to tank when theres nothing better avail, pull when there is, FD to get around/not wipe your group.. its kind of like the enchanter of melee's Ive personally found. Another class that only gets better with age, but can get away with worse gear than a warrior can. (personly my fave of the 3 listed, though a fully geared war is orgasmic looking and has lightsabers but thats like way too much work)

Bard: this class sucks its for freeks and wierdos. its like the worst.. its the most unique class in EQ for sure, and the most bad ass class to make in a video game ( i mean seriously who makes a video game with a bard in it? imagine playing fuckn gears of war or Battlefield and then this prancy little bard comes noodling up, toot toot tootaling on his little flute whistle.. its fuckn ridiculous. But also magical and awesome that EQ put it in their game) anyway, seriously its a weird class, it totally doesnt suck but in the hands of a medicore player, it is an EXTREMELY medicore class.. in the hands of a good player is a really interesting class that they'll eventually quit playing cus if they are really good they'll just pick another more powerful class to be good at.. that leaves them to be in the hands of people like Zander, really powerful good at EQ class that someone passionately loves to play. I have lots of respect for the 3rd, a little less for the 2nd and not much for the 1st listed.

I dont know

War - the wizard of tanking
Monk - the Enc of tanking
Bard - the RP of Enc.

you're saying there's more bards than monks on the server? prove that and I'll eat my hat.
