Here's your straight shooter answer, believe what you want:

We only care about droppables that are a significant upgrade for other members of the guild. For example, some warrior got their HoT BP, they hand in their Cobalt BP (that was awarded to them at a BDA Trak kill) for redistribution. Or another example, we award a monk a CoF, he then upgrades to 41% haste so he hands back the CoF for redistribution. I'd like to think people that leave BDA would give back their relevant droppable loot but usually they just ghost, we don't really lose members to other guilds these days.

The goal is to improve the guild. I don't buy into the concept of loot being an award or trade for time invested allowing a player can then sell their old loot for personal profit. Again though, this is only really relevant for solid haste items, the good Kunark BP/legs, things of that nature. I can't even count the number of BCG awardees that handed down Brell's Girdles for the newer members. That's just how I think guilds should operate. We don't ever expect anyone to hand in their own personal loot, just stuff awarded through the guild.

Concerning particular instances: Slydexx was holding an eye for the guild until a necro needed it, he left to FE, when asked for the eye back he instead decided to MQ it. We eventually got an eye at some point down the line. Unbrella is lying about whatever he was saying, and that app of two days ninja'd the white scale and sold it to Oleris for 100k. That app was kicked. When the situation is resolved I'll release his name to the public so that y'all can cheer him for sticking it to BDA.

Once you get back the 450k returned that you paid for them in the first place I would return the scales, until then, payment has not been satisfied and debts remain open.
