pretty much everyone i've ever known to win the lottery, receive a large inheritance, or win a lawsuit has blown it all in a couple years on drugs

My father is of this opinion.

I argued that its due to breeding (upbringing) and lack of grooming. Essentially, ignorant as fuck. Therefore, unhappy as fuck, with no idea how to make their way in this world with all the cards of life in their deck.

Show me someone with a doctorate or masters degree from a top 100 ranked university that blew all their money on drugs. I won't be waiting because it doesn't exist. Open that up to top 1,000 ranked university, still not happening.

Then the same person you have to explain this to, is the same person who can be caught railing against education and college degrees on any given evening "They're worthless".
