NPC Spawn Issue: Frostbite in West Karana faction hit

Frostbite is giving all negative hits here

-Wolves of the North
-Merchants of Halas
-Steel Warriors
-Shamen of Justice
-Rogues of the White Rose

This last hit should be a positive hit, not a negative.

I remembered repeatedly killing Frostbite to get my dark elf rogue to be able to use the bankers and trainers there, and then doing sneak turn-ins of gnoll fangs to fix the rest of the factions.

So I checked the waybackmachine to confirm-

and +Rogues of the White Rose was listed under Frostbite's entry

as well as him being listed under Rogues of the White Rose as a means to increase

In the DB, Frostbite is already set up to give positive RoguesoftheWhiteRose.

The negative faction hit towards WolvesoftheNorth was too small. That is fixed, pending update.

I just checked this with a friend of mine and Frostbite does indeed give +Rogues but yes key quest NPCs like Frostbite, Mammoth, Xanuusus etc always gave very large hits.

Seems like the positive hit might be too small too? Definitely not +10.

According to comments as early as January 2001, it looks like eventually all white rose factions (good and bad) were removed from killing npcs and doing quests. Killing rogues of course would still lower it. Specifics will need researched.

In terms of the faction hits from quests, they only seem to be saying that you no longer received negative faction hits from doing other Halas quests (from Shaman/Warriors). They definitely did not remove the +faction from the two rogue specific quests (gnoll fur patch/mammoth calf hides) though those require amiable to begin with.

Speaking of the mammoth calf hides ... they're listed as a common drop. I've killed dozens of wooly mammoth CALF and only 4 dropped. Could be bad luck on the RNG but I figured I'd mention it in case it needs to be adjusted.
