Funny you should mention the Hole.. I had a ton of potions from the golem saved up too. At any rate don't worry about it guys. I saved the stuff up to be the first 52 and I did that. I had a feeling that it would cause the exact reaction from the GMs that it did. No big deal most of Legacy of Steel has moved on to Rift so I'll be doing my thing over there. I had a great time here and will miss many of you on the server cause you're awesome guys. I've already dumped all my cash and gear off to the guys hangin in EC so no reason to raise a fuss. Hobby's got enough on his plate.

Enjoy Kunark while you can!

The difference is the quest was giving a bugged xp factor. If the quest was behaving like it SHOULD be, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

That is the thing you people keep overlooking...it was a bugged quest.

Im done trying to explain it to you people....you are obviously incapable of understanding this.

Like i said, Good luck in your travels Adorean. You are more than welcome to contiune playing here if you change your mind.

I think Hobby had no problem of collecting quest items ie... CB Belts, but the issue was the "XP REWARDS" was bugged and it was given too much more than expected?

That's how I understood. Never done the quest myself, it just how I read it.

I was not involved in the decision to delevel Adorean, but I do have one statement. You ARE doing something that you know is questionable.. is it so hard to make a post in the petition forum saying "Hey guys I wanted to check with you before I spent time farming this item for mass turn ins, would it be acceptable or would I be exploiting a quest possibly giving too much experience?"

In that case if we had either not responded or said sure go ahead, the fault would be ours. If we said no don't do that and/or fixed the quest, you wouldn't have spent months farming the item.

I've been trying to get this mentality across to the raiding guilds for over a year now. If your going to pull a tactic on a raid boss that is questionable (hello rez pulling, pet tanking, mob leashing), is it REALLY so hard to make a post in the petition forum asking if its acceptable before just doing it and possibly facing repercussions?

The quest is not supposed to give the amount of xp that it was giving. There is a big difference between investing time into preparation for Kunark, and abusing a quest that is giving far too much experience.

[Sat Mar 26 00:14:26 2011] Adorean tells the guild, 'i spoiled their night by out thinking them'
[Sat Mar 26 00:17:04 2011] Pescador tells the guild, 'yeah... i wonder if they are permanently disabling exp from that quest'
[Sat Mar 26 00:17:07 2011] Adorean tells the guild, 'nah...'
[Sat Mar 26 00:17:15 2011] Adorean tells the guild, 'they're not that smart'

And you knew that's what you were doing. Bragging about exploiting it is what got you delevelled. Let's not pretend we're some victimized martyr.

Also to add... I did something similar on EQLive on the Combine server when Omens of War unlocked. Without going into too much detail, we delevelled from 65 to 46 and shakerpaged to 65, then used Expedient Recovery to instant rez ourselves to level 70 when the expansion opened.

Guess what I did before hand?

No response even to this day, so we went ahead and did it.
