Ouch, bad luck. I've had my gate spell collapse, or whatever the message is, 3 times in a row. But I was just in the tunnel, so it was only annoying rather than life-threatening.

Can confirm -- Master gater here (huhu) 235 alteration, fully specialized 200 alteration -- still fails only when inconvenient or I'm on the run from something that wants to tear my ass.

On a unrelated to necro luck note.... I know I hate wizards... but my wizard seems to be the unluckiest retard wizard ever.... I have NEVER EVER had as many gate collapses on all of my other casters than on my wizard.... I have even had gate collapse 3, THREE TIMES IN A ROW on my wizard, its like hes a port class, but hes teleport retarded
