Anyone found a fix with this? I did a fresh install, installed wineq2 (not sure about settings here) did the duxa shortcut fix, can't get the character models to show.

Brand new Alienware X14 laptop with Geforce 3060.

I tried to get dgvoodoo to work, and I did eventually get it to display the character model, but then my framerate dropped to like 2 FPS. Maybe I have some settings incorrect in dgvoodoo?

Ok, I figured this out. Get the NVidia control panel program.

Open that up, go to "Manage 3D Settings"

Go to "Program Settings" tab

Click "Add" on the Select a program to customize

Select Everquest (eqgame.exe)

on #2, select "High-performance Nvidia processor"

Apply/save, not sure what's there since I already did it.

This fixed the models, no other changes needed.

Awesome.

Thanks for the update.

I have to do that for modern games too. It's easy to overlook.

Hell yes Chokan. Looks like we are in business now. Thank you for finding this solution.

No problem Bromin. After I did this change, I had framerate issues until I turned the shaders back on in eqclient.ini

Just an addition if anyone has that issue.
