I’ve noticed this on my Enchanters as well. When you’re playing an Enchanter everyone is suddenly an expert and wants to mansplain Enchanter to you [You must be logged in to view images. I have a lot of experience as an Enchanter, I’m thinking about re-rolling my 4th one just because I enjoy leveling them so much.

Also people will say it’s because I’m a bad enchanter, but I actually get a lot of praise and had the top raid guild on our server try to recruit me after grouping with me a few months ago. The problem is I don’t like to group as an enchanter because it’s a lot of work and I feel like I can’t really afk and even feel guilty about having to log off because I know they prob won’t find another end, so I tend to avoid groups unless I have hours to dedicate to sitting in my chair unmoving with soloing I can more frequently afk with hide on, charm something kill a bunch of stuff then afk again.

Also I’ve been soloing camps before and had groups show up and ended up joining them but then I realized I can do the same camp solo, so all it feels like is I’m kind of gimping myself exp-wise by joining the group a lot of times. I do log in frequently to hit strangers with clarity and haste and stuff tho, I do enjoy helping people.

If you type /rt you target the last person who sent you a tell. Might help get those Cs out quicker.

ofc you can AFK as an enchanter in a group

step 1: announce you need to afk

step 2: invis-drop pet in the middle of your group

step 3: go afk

What if the enchanter charms a power pet, loads it up with haste items and procing weapons, fully buffs it, then charm breaks and kills the enchanter in 2 seconds and wipes out most of party. (True story)

Is that a chanter that should you might make a suggestion to?

I bought a Dawnfire for my enchanter to use in Howling Stones. Put it on the enchanter, then loaded up my Necro in KC.

Gave necro pet swarmcaller, was cruising through the basement with no issues. Then, a few bad rolls on resist checks, charm break early, root break early - interrupted Screaming Terror, interrupted Root, and interrupted Feign Death cast. Dead.

Bound far away, run back, pet's gone, Swarmcallers gone. I logged back Enchanter and sold the Dawnfire and never gave it to a pet.

The chanter in my story got his pets gear back, after we recovered, the mob was still up in the zone. He let other pet mobs knock its health down before we finished it off and got his items back.

That's when you ask yourself what you're EXPing for. Are you trying to get to max level because you want to raid nonstop? Are you trying to get to max level asap to make this a farming char to generate a lot of plat?

If not, then it's okay to gimp yourself EXP wise if you enjoy being in a group sometimes.

WoW and other modern MMOs created this idea in our heads that we need to optimize exp to rush to 60. Unless there's a specific reason for you for doing so, on P99 you'll get to 60 and never really play that char again...so who cares if it took extra time to get there.

I'll let the comments slide initially but if it gets into several comment territory I just leave the group. If someone sends me a tell asking why, I'll let them know that one of their groupmates wouldn't leave me alone with tells telling me how the play my class.

This is my favorite thing to do when leaving a particularly shitty group.

Have fully hasted / torched pet. Wait for big pull. Gate.
