I have not experimented with this, but I thought you needed to charm a mob in order for it to equip the equipment you gave it. Does Feign Death play a role in this strategy or is it just to avoid dying and you can actually give equipment to any non-KoS mob and it will equip it?
It’s kinda wacky, some mobs only equip when charmed, other mobs will equip even if you’re KoS. You can slow Tunare by trading her a ton of -MR gear, she will equip it. I have given CT fishing poles several times in the past and he equips them. Someone gave Vindi an earthen blade once and he was proccing haste on himself. Some mobs, like skeletons, straight up never equip items you give to them uncharmed even if you use an enchanter faction spell. Non-charmed mobs will not drop items you give to them, but they will noticeably equip and utilize them.

how do smaller raid forces get vulak when there is a large one there competing?
If its competitive FTE on quake/natural then generally the hero kite (1 kiter that kites all the guards in vulak's room)

Only one raid guild does this and they're definitely not a small guild.

I mean 50 person vulak vs. 120 person vulak. You can put whatever label you want on it. One guild does it repeatedly and effectively. Other guilds have attempted with less consistency/success and its really the only currently viable strat if you aren't the zerg guild on either server

Rumor is GG is working on an......interesting......strategy. Probably a good one for this thread.

I think I have a screenshot of Kingdom having 150 people in zone during one of their Vulak engages but okay. The hero kite only removes like 15 roles from the sheet? Everyone else is just there to punch the thing.

GG stole my genius shower thought strat of furious disc bumping the vulak guards down with max ATK buffs on ogre warriors with weighted axes. I hope it works, I've waited far too long for someone to actually pursue that strat.

No you don't. Kingdom barely has 150 active members. Maybe 90 was the highest raid force I've ever seen with Kingdom. Still absurd, but stop you literal child.

Castle is such trash. Guild's been around since Green started, and didn't enter the competitive raid scene until 2-3 years ago and becoming the zerg guild of the server.

Before that they were still killing Severilous.

How does 1 person put enough aggro into all the guards?

They are aggro-linked to Vulak. So You keep fluxing Vulak and carefully maintain the balance so you don't out-aggro the tank and get summoned

I remember wiping on gore 10 times in a row with 70 people, all of the sub-55s had to sit out on a little hill until they were called in midway through the fight because they just couldn't handle the AEs.

After months of banging our heads against Gorenaire we finally killed her and got double white scales.

It's been a wild ride joining this silly casual guild at level 4 that paid dkp to do fire giants and now getting all of the phat lewtz on the server.

Having 80 people show up doesn't win mobs, people filling critical roles does. You can have 100 rogues, 100 clerics, and an endless supply of warriors but no real playmakers and you'll get leapfrogged by another guild quadding their entire raid force across the zone to jump you and take your mob.
