Could be your copy of winxp. I've never had an issue with my sata drives. You installing from a disk or a thumb drive?

Win XP 64 Edition is horrible.. it was never stable.

The board in your PC has a NVIDIA GeForce 7100 chipset (MCP73PV). Not an NForce so that driver wouldn't work anyhow.

Frankly I'd go Win7 x64 anyhow... no reason not to IMO.

This BSODs with 7B too, Windows 7 it is!

I figured I'd get better performance with XP.

Windows 7 works just as well on my 2004 toshiba satellite as it does on my humongoid desktop.

If your trying to get stability to run a game, run the game in compatibility mode for the version of the operating system that you want.

I have had absolutely no problems running games on 7 with compatibility mode if the game goes goofy.

So, I installed Windows 7. I've tried a few different video drivers that should all be good but I still can't get 1920x1200 resolution. No audio yet either, I feel like I'm on Linux again.

Hate this shit.
