Thanks for sharing this, Baler. This was a great read.

Mad props, Skarlorn. You continue to surprise and amaze me.

I'm still in the "making my money" phase, so I can't really answer this thread very well. I'll just agree with Tupakk: Ports. It isn't unusual to make 2k or 3k in a couple hours. Right after an earthquake is when people are most frantic and tend to drop a ton of plat, I've noticed.

Druid main. Started with tailoring, mostly bags in EC. Eventually could buy tink bags from SolA. Had a set of cha gear, so selling one bag in EC was almost 500pp profit for the time of porting to SolA and running in slowly with plat. Eventually bought puppet strings, one for myself and one for guild, free OT hammers to guild, charged others 5k per hammer and made a killing. Would solo random stuff with strings for profit as well. Need to find your own way mostly

I think strings are by far one of the best ways to earn plat. You just need to know a friend with strings too

it was better when they were 10-15k per hammer, even the 5k I sold it for was a goldmine. less so now, but still an easy money maker. locket of escape turned out to not be such a worthwhile investment.

I also sold a bunch of chardok and KC monk epic pipes, probably starting at 30k and moving down as the market fell. fun camp to solo on a druid charming, and hard to beat that price while XPing
