Since Nikolai is now an active member of these forums, and this thread is in Server Chat, bashing/flaming him will not be tolerated, and I will be removing the posts that have. You may keep a civil discussion of your opinions of the various situations, but do not get offtopic and insult him or anyone else.

Go make a thread in R&F if you so desire.

Additionally, for the time being, the administrator(s) of the eqmac.com website/forums have requested that P99 not be mentioned or posted about. I expect everyone to honor this request, as would be the case for any other website.

In a way, I can see how he wants to uphold his silent agreement with SoE to maintain his honor. However, I also think he should uphold commitment and honor of keeping his community together. A sense of duty to his fellow community should come first over his sense of honor to someone who just slapped him and his community in the face.

That's just how I see it imo. All sense of upholding the agreement (silent or not) should have gone out the window when SoE stopped caring about your community. As far as I can tell, SoE has given the EQmac community no opportunity to plead their case to allow their community to continue on their live servers as they have been in the past. It was simply a "this is how it's going to be, take it or leave it. In the end, we've made our final decision".

I wish them luck, I hate to see their community fade/vanish and break up because of a silly sense of honor bound to someone who cares not if they do or don't.

TL;DR Bros before hoes.

People do realize that one day the Eq servers will go down too right? I can't see how people can throw a fit about this. Everything comes to a end eventually that even includes games/characters that you have been paying to play because you don't actually own the character and all the character is good for it playing in a game. I know plenty of People on live that won't come and play here for the fact that its not a legit server and they would be worried about toons getting wiped or server shutting down. It's all in how people take it. I know one day EQlive will shutdown. Will i be upset sure because i spent 12+ years playing the game but everything comes to a end eventually.

I played a bit on eqmac and it's an absolutely amazing community.. Really good people over there. What's happening is tragic, but if they can't undo sony's decision, then at least I hope we can see their server come together for one last hoorah and beat the only remaining classic version of PoP in the time they have left. (which is like the real end of EQ's expansions, imo!)
