was debating on rolling a sk and coming back to game. was thinking about troll for regen and slam but what are everyones opinions out there? any trolls out there not like being so big? curious how much of a pain it is to be a troll in dungeons

Only a few dungeons suck. Whatever anyways. You can block hallways to piss off the plebs.

Ogres and trolls kick large portions of ass. And they're not afraid to scratch them either. Every few seconds ;D

I played an iksar on live, and it was my favorite toon. The only thing I didn't like was not having bash while wielding 2 handers (pre epic or aa's). That being said, I play a troll shaman and love it. Being a big race is annoying in some areas, but you get used to it. The payoff comes in the form of great stats in relative comparison to all other races, less an Ogre, regen, and most importantly, the most beautiful race of Norrath.

Ogre if you wanna be a badass tank that always has to carry around shrink potions or make friends with a shaman
Troll if you wanna be super awesome but be one of the slowest levelers in the game
Dark Elf if you wanna be pretty
Erudite/Human if you want to be... special.
Gnome if you want to be not classic

Iksar, you got robe of azure sky or whatever, throwing boulders, forage, ur not fat, superior velious AC, stone of morid or whatever its called, greenmist, and regen

ogre and iksar are the master race SKs, but imho iksar pulls ahead in pvp

Ogre is best right now and arguably in velious too imo, but gear options for iksar opens up in velious and the gap between them and ogres right now closes significantly

Troll is kind of like a hybrid between ogre and iksar:

higher str/sta than iksar but lower than ogre
slam but no stun immunity
regen but no ac bonus

Ogre will be able to channel spells through mob melee easily, can really save your life to get off some clutch lifetaps at times.

Iksar and troll regen could be pretty awesome in velious if you can get your hands on a Soul Defiler since the regen will offset the health drain from call of bones. Kind of irrelevant since theres so many chanters to group with/get a c2 from, but a nice little bit of utility if a situation calls for it.

Also troll size won't be an issue once Shroud of Undeath becomes available, though that will be quite awhile after velious launch. Shrink pots arent too expensive either.

Also always to note is that all three have massive exp penalties, but I believe ogre's is slightly lower than iksar and troll.
