Default I cannot see spell effects on targets.

Hi, for some reason, I cannot see spell effects (i.e. green bubbles from root, purple glow from mez) around the target when other players cast spells.

I see the effects around the caster as they cast. I see both the effects around myself and around the target mob when I am casting spells. I just don't see the effects around the target when other people cast.

I can't figure out if this is an option setting issue, as I've tried playing with the particles settings but the issue still persists. Any advice would be appreciated; thanks!

In the options menu you have to turn off any filters for others’ spell messages. Somehow the chat filter also messes with the particle effects in this client.
