I used to like the recycle/green99 idea that was being bandied about. Make a new server and have it fold into the old server at the end of a standard Velious timeline. Like when Luclin was "about to be released" on the new server, fold green into blue.
But when I think about how it would either turn blue into a ghost town for the duration, or split the population into two lowish pop servers, it makes me kinda sad. I love blue just as it is. It's a snapshot in time. That's a large part of its charm. I really want to experience 1999 everquest as well, but not enough to kill blue.
