I make well above minimum wage, and can afford to buy myself things too! I'm also smart enough not to blow $250 on a thing that may or may not ever even be a thing..

Also, this server was always based on the integrity of "No donations will ever give you any bonus/advantage in game. Even cosmetic.". Granted this isn't a donation to help the server, but you are still donating towards something and in return getting in-game perks (even if they are small).

So I voted zero. Is this issue a big deal? Not really. But it will leave a sour taste in some mouths for sure.

Sadly lord British had my money. Tabula rosa was an experiment that went a rye but no one made a hard core pvp game better then the Wild West of pre trammel uo. That game was pure bliss in its day. I love eq for it's us vs huge raid aspect it invented but avatar is where I am floating.

The players were the real police in the old uo days. Magic required reagents. Items could be dry looted and 5o dragons released near a guild. Thieves actually able to truly be thieves.

I am going to donate money to the game because I want the game to succeed. However I do not agree with paying for bonus pots which is why, when I do donate, I am not going to change my kickstarter name to my toon's name here.

It's an unfair advantage of money and long term effects of its presence brings disaster so I am against the rewards but for the new game, $50 from me to the new BMQ game inc from next paycheck

I wish McQuaid the best, but I'm really not that interested in Pantheon... and the raffle prizes don't really interest me.

That sounds amazing, like a cooler version of shadowbane and eve (only pvp games I really have to compare with). I missed it back in the day though. Would love to see a new MMO roll around some day that emphasizes all the little things (like the reagents and item loot and thieves being more than warriors who fight from behind) that have been entirely stripped out of most games by now.

Enough to get in the Alpha (And the only way I can do that now is the $60 version)
Here's a little thing about a player like me:
1) I only donate to winners. 100% success rate for kickstarters and this will be #20.
2) I'm already involved (and invested) in another MMO, which is City of Titans: The Phoenix Project, which is a resurrection of City of Heroes.
3) I want in on the Alpha because I think I, like everyone in P99, deserve some input in the creative process.
4) Played Tabula Rasa from beta to live, until a few months later when things went awry. It as such an innovative type of gameplay for its time(Voice actors using PG-13 words, dying aliens talking shit, crits coming more from skill than luck) but it failed, and I don't know if anyone learned anything they can apply from this failure.
5) Played Wang-guard from beta to live, and I loved it, but SoE or whoever absolutely blew it. Crowdsourcing is such a game-changer, where you're not relinquishing so much control of your "vision" by stupid get-rich-quick(but negate customer loyalty) MBA types.

TL; DR:

^ Hey look, it's the same thing I posted when Vanguard went live
