I've survived several deaths (some accidental) through quantum immortality while patiently awaiting red 2.0 news. I'm hoping this universe is finally the red 2.0 one.

I don't know how many more branching realities I can jump through. Hopefully there's a red 2.0 in at least one of those.

Thank you for your consideration and continuation for red 1.0 I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to play here.

Last 2 posters, poster boys for what i mean when pop got heavy on the dumb/griefy side by making the server mechanics griefy and normal people leaving. No one i know who dumpster dives takes un-vacuumed, un-sealed meat, and theres usually boxes of clean shit, i wouldnt even set foot in that dumpster, nothing worth taking.

Typical scenario today: Distributor return place guy hears me open the dumpster door. Thats a place that returns all the pricey stuff from gourmet food stores. Every item is sealed: Soups, marinated tofu, fancy vegan desserts, fake cheese made with cashews, etc,etc... Guy opens garage door and hands me 8 packs of cheese/beer fondue and fancy bagels and bread. Ill be eating that fondue tomorrow with fresh veggies, cheese bread and sausages chuckling at you morons obsessing over me.

I had fun on red. I've played a lot of EQ, (I guess, the live game died quick.) but am still somehow a noob. I had a mid 50, and 3-4 level 40s on Red. Not much, but I had fun and enjoyed it.

Then I felt too much social pressure on Red and stopped and played blue a little bit. Very casually I only leveled chars under 30, on blue. I am in a very paranoia situation in life. So naturally, I logged in on blue, staring at the screen, deciding if I should quit my guild. I did that for about a year. I was afraid if I quit, and wanted to join later, I would be shunned, as a guild leaver. It also was the main noob to mid-level guild. It might have been my only option for guilds.

Anyway, so I am noob, but I really enjoyed Red. Not sure if I was mentally there enough to be good in groups. Looking forward to another Red server one day.

Not sure how people don't love the frick out of Classic EQ pvp. (Tried to make it shorter to avoid the vibe of, "No one wants to hear your sob story brah.")

Lol dumb guy thinks no one will play a new server regardless or pvp enabled or not.

All the new blood green players will give it a shot and a good portion of them will be converted. Getting to start on a fresh server is worth the trouble even if you only play it for a few years before pop drops down.

When you realize like 80 percent more of the in game items have an actual practical use when pvp is enabled and you’ve been playing a totally gutted mega nerf version of the game on blue servers there’s no going back.

Red 2 is for everyone except the current 30 players, who don’t care. Even they have everything to gain since they will be on a dumpster recycle server now and will eventually get an influx of people they can show 10 years of uncontested raiding worth of pixels to.

If you want it to remain robust code an official server cross trading mechanic so people who only think about their pixel bank retirement can always shift their assets back to their other server. There were a lot more players on red when cross server trading was allowed.

Making characters on Wow, didn't go so well. I figured the last step in not fearing god, is to pray to him and not let it bother you. Then I was afraid of thinking something inappropriate, while praying. And of course, the paranoia just grew again. So, I'm numb to Wow right now.

I know a lot of people who would literaly benifit greatly emitionally and physicall if there was a fresh red 2.0 classic rallos server that stopped b4 velious or only included the few good velious dungeons tuned to classic stats levels and no vp to hide in for the zerg guild. (just leave vp in but don't make the stats non classic like they are already nerf that shit to +12 hp) and make it easy to comem and go from the zone, add in death respawns at zone graveyards and let ppl keep their gear on. everything else just absolutely classic including the broken stuff

Also, getting a druid to max level 1 boxxing on a heavily populated server VS. a rogue on a dead server is night and day. No LFG, and I can keep grinding during work!

I don't want to get into a soapbox but the same problems that plague 1.0 would plague 2.0, but we would have a pop. boom for probably 5 years. A unique "two box" classic pvp experience has yet to be replicated, with the guarantee of no wipes. Keep red 1.0, add red 2 box point 0. And you have a winner.

I've said it once I'll say it again, PVP isolates the community and makes grouping harder, everquest supported 2k to 3k active players on live, i've yet to play on a PVP server with those numbers. 2 boxxing makes leveling viable with all classes. the only people leveling meleers are no lifers or twink 2nd toons, which means leveling twice to level a melee toon as a casual player.

We have seen the classic PVP experience die, we have yet to test a true no wipe PVP server with classic code AND 2 boxxing, i believe its the key to longevity despite manys argument otherwise.

I can never be as bad as red's first year launch.

One: No xp loss unless the devs have lost their minds. Makes low-level pvp relatively fun and light. Cant really grief. First year might see a pop increase instead of loss because of that lack of grief. Might get an influx of blue and green over lawyer quest. I love the idea of keeping your shit on death but 99% wont happen here.

Two: Some of the more toxics might have learned a lesson that you need a pop to have a healthy server. Some will always remain but yea.

From 2016 So far in about three days of grinding in steamfont I could group a little, met some buffing druids, got some starter money, added some people on friend list for ports or rez or if I feel lonely ;) all in all it's been a fine experience so far!! Of course you join planing to solo a lot I can see the server pop is 50-100 at all times but whatevs that's why I log in on red you know. When I need more peeps I go on blue ;) in the end it's the classic EQ experience that I like! See you online take care ;)

Devs cant be bothered to update us on the new server, a lack of communication thats been there from the start, though its been retcon pinned on the part of the community thats toxic.

If another server ever launches, its safe to expect the community here will get next to no warning and will have to choose between losing all their progress of the recent months and starting over on 2.0 or decide to stay on a likely single digit server.

EverQuest PvP sucks and mostly it's about PPing, screen dragging, and whoever has the best gear. But the handful of times I've had legitimate group vs. group clashes over leveling spots or raid targets are all permanently seared into my brain and they're some of my very best MMORPG memories.

Would be cool to experience some of that again on a fresh red 2.0
